Kelowna Minor Baseball Association is entirely operated by volunteers donating their time and it’s a real team effort on the part of players and families alike. Board members put in many hours before, during, and after the season to ensure the league runs successfully. Due to the shortage of volunteers, KMBA, like many other organizations, has come to realize the need for implementing a Mandatory Volunteering Policy.

The Association is expecting each family to volunteer 10 hours of time during the Spring Baseball season. There will be some volunteer options provided in the online registration process. For some volunteer positions, you will be contacted by a KMBA Division Director who will outline your role and expectations during the season. Other volunteer positions start when your child begins the season and is managed by the Team Parent.

Please be aware of the specific dates or time frames during the season that is entailed with your volunteer obligations. You are required to show up for your assigned shifts and if there is a conflict with a scheduled date, it is YOUR responsibility to contact the appropriate volunteer to reschedule or sign up for a different position.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to play an active role in your child’s baseball experience and to contribute to your community. Parents may also elect to opt out of volunteering and choose to pay the Volunteer Fee of $50.00 (Mosquito, PeeWee, Bantam and Midget players) or $25.00 (Mini-Tad and Tadpole players).
