Opening Day- A Big Hit !!

After Midget player Clay Stephens made a great stop on the 1st pitch thrown by former KMBA Head Umpire Sig Ottenbreit, and league President Marty Gallant lead all in attendance in a rousing rendition of O Canada, the players exited the field where they were fed by the generous contributions of Nesters Market, before games broke out on all fields and a new season was underway.
   Special thanks goes to all of our spring House League Sponsors, without whom there would be no baseball for our 400+ young athletes, Nesters Market , who provided each player luch consisting of a hot dog, a Sun Rype juicebox , a bottle of water, and a granola bar, Tim Hortons who brought along coffee and 1600 Timbits, and SW Audio Visual, who supplied us with the sound systems for not only Opening Day, but all of our Spring House Tournaments as well.
   All in all it was a great day, and the start of what promises to be another great season of baseball in Kelowna.
